Heather Wallace is a writer, photographer, equestrian, entrepreneur, and mother. (In no particular order.)
After working for 12 years in the medical publishing industry and a short stint as a stay-at-home mom, Heather decided to reinvent her life to follow her passion: animals. In 2016 she and business partner, Danelle Stukas, created Bridle & Bone Wellness to provide holistic wellness for horses and dogs through sports massage and aromatherapy. Just over a year later, they expanded to provide equine acupuncture with colleague Dr. Michelle Morges and partnered with integrative veterinarian, Dr. Kendra Pope.
Heather began her blog, Bridle & Bone, in December 2016 as a response to questions regarding animal health & wellness. In less than a year, she was contributing freelance writing to major animal publications and the recipient of several nominations and awards for her writing and photography.
Her first book, Equestrian Handbook of Excuses, was inspired by fellow equestrians world-wide and became a 2017 Literary Selection for the Equus Film Festival in New York City.
Heather wears many hats and is extremely proud to be an example to her three daughters of a woman who follows her passion and takes risks. Heather is every woman who decided to leave her fears behind and do what she loves.
